Booking an authentic Gaya Pind Daan ceremony has historically been a confusing, opaque process. Pitraya Rituals was built to make this as simple as booking a flight. Here is the complete booking process.

Step 1: Choose Your Package Visit pitraya.com/packages and select based on: - Number of Dhaams (3, 16, or 45) - Number of family members traveling - Duration (1 day, 2 days, or full pilgrimage) - Accommodation preference (budget, standard, or luxury)

Step 2: Provide Ancestor Details After selecting a package, you will fill out a secure form providing: - Your full name and mobile number - Ancestor's full name (Sanskrit/Hindi) - Ancestor's gotra (lineage clan name) - Date of death (or approximate year) - Relationship to the ancestor - Your ancestral home state and district

Step 3: Receive Confirmation & Coordinator Assignment Within 24 hours, you receive: - Booking confirmation with reservation ID - Assigned Gayawal Purohit details (name, registration number, lineage) - WhatsApp connection with your Pitraya coordinator - Travel preparation checklist

Step 4: Pre-Ceremony Coordination Your coordinator contacts you 48 hours before arrival to confirm: - Arrival time at Gaya airport or station - Hotel check-in schedule - Ceremony day timeline - Any special requirements or health accommodations

Step 5: Ceremony Day Execution On ceremony day, your private vehicle picks you up from the hotel. The Gayawal Purohit meets you at Vishnupad Ghat. All samagri is pre-prepared. You participate in your ancestral ceremony with full guidance.

What Information Must I Have Ready Before Booking?

Essential: Ancestor's name and approximate death date, your gotra name (family lineage clan — if unknown, our coordinators help determine this), and your ancestral home state. Optional but recommended: ancestor's photograph, specific death tithi (Hindu lunar date), and list of all ancestors to be included in the Sankalp.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book for Pitru Paksha?▼
For Pitru Paksha (the most auspicious 16-day period), we recommend booking at least 3-4 months in advance. Hotels within 1km of Vishnupad Temple and verified Gayawal Purohit slots fill up by June for the October season.
Can I book for a specific date and time?▼
Yes. When booking, you specify your preferred ceremony dates. For Pitru Paksha, the ceremony is ideally performed on the tithi (lunar date) corresponding to your ancestor's death anniversary. Your coordinator confirms the astrologically optimal timing.
